Determinación de la capacidad de predicción de disfunción neurológica de la imagen ponderada por difusión en pacientes en coma en una unidad de cuidados intensivos
Aún no es posible predecir con seguridad, durante la atención en cuidados intensivos, cuál es la probabilidad de disfunción neurológica en pacientes con alteraciones en el estado de conciencia secundaria a trauma craneoencefálico o daño cerebral anóxico y de esta manera establecer planes de atención ajustados a la condición nal de cada paciente. La posibilidad de disponer de una herramienta de tractografía por resonancia magnética que tempranamente permita de nir la probable condición neurológica nal, facilitaría la toma de decisiones, con una asignación de recursos más equitativa y ajustada dentro de los principios de bene cencia y no male cencia. En los estudios de tractografía es importante evaluar la calidad de los métodos de localización de las estructuras cerebrales. Por esta razón se propone realizar una segmentación automática de las imágenes de difusión y evaluar la calidad de las segmentaciones comparándolas con segmentaciones manuales. Para esto se realizará en una primera etapa un estudio de la consistencia de las seg- mentaciones comparando la segmentación manual y automática, y posteriormente se realizará el estudio clínico.

Este trabajo presenta la aplicación de un conjunto de articulos con propias teorías de los robots manipuladores y el modelamiento de pinzas. Para ello el brazo humano se modela como un robot manipulador redundante. En particular se aplica el concepto de índices de desempeño para predecir posturas óptimas del brazo durante la realización de tareas. En el estudio se incluyen tanto estructuras estáticas, como tambien los analisis de estabilidad del brazo y los materiales para su respectiva realizacion. This work presents the application of a set of articles with the own theories of the manipulative robots and the modeling of tweezers. For this, the bearing is modeled as a redundant manipulator robot. In particular, the concept of performance indices is applied to predict the optimal postures of the task during the performance of tasks. The study includes both static structures, as well as safety management analyzes and materials for their respective realization.

In most corruption scandals, the use of front companies for money laundering is almost ubiquitous. This work proposes to apply image classification to detect such organizations, through the use of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), namely the AlexNet architecture. The images are obtained by address search in Google Street View API, and the resulting classification will be further used along with other features to detect front com- panies in order to help the auditors from the Ministry of Transparency and Office of the Comptroller General (CGU, in Portuguese). To this moment, we applied classification to almost 15 thousand suppliers scenes with active contracts with the Brazilian Government until September 2016, obtained through data matching between the Government Purchases database and the Brazilian Federal Revenue Office database (more recent scenes should be added as this work progresses). Preliminary results with a pre-trained AlexNet CNN show the need for developing new scene classes more suited to the Brazilian context. In order to do this, we propose to apply clustering algorithms in features extracted from the last fully-connected layer of this net. The classes obtained will be used to fine-tune the AlexNet CNN for future classification, through the use of training from scratch or fine tuning techniques.

Design of a Noninvasive Pulse Rate Meter
The purpose of this project was to design a noninvasive pulse rate meter. The design team decided to create a four-stage system for identifying the pulse using optical sensors. The first stage is the input, where an infrared LED shines light at a patient's finger while a photodiode receives light on the other end. The change in blood volume in the patient's finger changes the light in the patient's finger, which creates a current across the photodiode. The second stage is the current-to-voltage converter, whereby the current created by the change in light levels effects a change in voltage. This voltage is passed to the third stage, which is filtering, which attenuates the low-frequency DC offset as well as the high-frequency noise. The final stage is amplification, whereby the filtered signal is amplified so that it may be read by other means, such as a microcontroller.

Este artigo tem como objetivo relatar e detalhar a construção de um conversor buck-boost. Cuja a função deste é converter uma tensão cc (corrente contínua) de entrada, em outra tensão cc em sua saída, de valor mais elevado ou inferior dependendo de sua configuração. Destaca-se aqui o uso de um semi condutor MOSFET que funciona como uma chave controladora. Na elabiração deste está destacada o funcionamento, principais características e toda a parte de simulação e comprovação prática deste conversor.

Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (SLAM) using RTAB-Map
This paper implements Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technique to construct a map of a given environment. A Real Time Appearance Based Mapping (RTAB-Map) approach was taken for accomplishing this task. Initially, a 2d occupancy grid and 3d octomap was created from a provided simulated environment. Next, a personal simulated environment was created for mapping as well. In this appearance based method, a process called Loop Closure is used to determine whether a robot has seen a location before or not. In this paper, it is seen that RTAB-Map is optimized for large scale and long term SLAM by using multiple strategies to allow for loop closure to be done in real time and the results depict that it can be an excellent solution for SLAM to develop robots that can map an environment in both 2d and 3d.

Measurement of the dynamic viscosity of Canola Oil using a ball drop
The viscosity of a particular fluid is an interesting parameter that plays an important role in fluid dynamics of that fluid. We chose the common household cooking item canola oil. Using a ball drop, we set out to measure viscosity at various temperatures and create a model for the viscosity of canola oil as a function of temperature, as well as an accurate measurement for viscosity at room temperature. It was found that the viscosity between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius can be approximated using an exponential function and that an estimation for viscosity at room temperature was not very difficult to obtain. The precision of this measurement was limited by uncertainty in lab equipment used to measure various quantities as well as the image analysis software we used and the limited frame-rate of our camera.
