It is an honor and a pleasure to invite the network science community to NetSci 2026 in Boston from June 1-5, 2026. This 20th anniversary edition of NetSci will be hosted along the Charles River at the Hyatt Regency Boston/Cambridge, within walking distance of world‐renowned research hubs and easily accessible by public transit and Logan International Airport.
Greater Boston's layered history, vibrant neighborhoods, and dense constellation of universities and academic institutes mirror the diversity and interdisciplinarity of our field. As one of the world's leading centers for research and innovation, the region is home to a unique network of academic institutions, startups, hospitals, museums, and public organizations that together embody the spirit of collaboration at the heart of network science. From Kendall Square's innovation ecosystem to the Longwood and Seaport research corridors, Boston and Cambridge connect ideas across disciplines---from the physical and life sciences to social systems, data, and design. The city's walkable scale, rich intellectual tradition, and thriving cultural scene create an environment where conversations flow naturally across boundaries. This convergence of history, creativity, and discovery makes the region an ideal setting for exchanging ideas, forging collaborations, and connecting network science to pressing challenges in technology, health, policy, culture, and society.
As always, NetSci 2026 is the flagship conference of the Network Science Society and will provide an unmatched venue for sharing and discussing discoveries, ideas, and emerging problems in network science. The program will be broad, spanning how networks shape our world across social systems, epidemiology, ecology, neuroscience, infrastructure, economics and finance, cultural and historical analysis, graph machine learning, and artificial intelligence. In addition to the main program, the week will feature satellites, tutorials, posters, and community events designed to support researchers at all career stages.
The local, program, and advisory committees are working to prepare an exciting and inclusive conference. We look forward to welcoming you to Boston for NetSci 2026.
